Trump Attorney: “Of Course” Hillary Clinton Should be Investigated

November 23, 2018

President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, says that Hillary Clinton should be investigated for obstruction of justice.

Giuliani’s comments came after a not-so-explosive report in the New York Times which claimed the President had sought to have Hillary Clinton and former FBI Director James Comey investigated by the Department of Justice.

The Times reported, “President Trump told the White House counsel in the spring that he wanted to order the Justice Department to prosecute two of his political adversaries: his 2016 challenger, Hillary Clinton, and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey, according to two people familiar with the conversation.” The piece detailed how the President relayed his desires to White House counsel Don McGahn who quickly rebuffed him, saying it could lead to his impeachment.

“Of course she should be investigated,” Giuliani told the Hill in an exclusive interview. There is plenty of evidence that Hillary obstructed justice by destroying evidence in a gross and massive way.”

Giuliani was referring to the 33,000 emails on Clinton’s private server which were deleted before they could be examined by investigators.

“Someone is under investigation and all of a sudden 30,000 emails disappear and someone takes a sledgehammer to them? I’m telling you, she is going in front of a grand jury
